Don't Take Good Health for Granted

October 2010 Newsletter

We tend to place most of our focus on planning and setting goals. And unfortunately we have a tendency to neglect the vehicle that enables our accomplishments - our bodies. Without a healthy functioning body we are unable to execute our tasks optimally.

We are all frequently reminded of the importance of practicing sound healthy habits such as a healthy eating, getting plenty of exercise, and enough sleep. Most of you are aware of these basic health principles but do you take heed? How big is the gap between the knowledge you have and the application of your knowledge?

Maybe your schedule has become too busy and the time for an exercise regimen doesn’t seem that important. Maybe your schedule forces you to neglect eating healthy foods and instead “fast foods” have become the usual pattern for you. Years come and go and this unhealthy routine builds and with each passing year it becomes harder to break this cycle.

When all the focus is removed from your health you can become physically vulnerable to the point of illness. When you become sick all your plans will have to be put on hold in order to attend to an ailing body. Don't wait for the onset of an illness to begin making healthy changes in your lifestyle. You will NOT be able to follow through on your goals when you are not in good health.

True success can be measured in terms of good health. When you have a good health, a sound mind naturally follows. Then you will have more energy and clarity to accomplish all your goals and dreams.

  • Begin today to examine your life to see if you follow healthy practices.
