Knowledge Is Powerful!
April 2009 Newsletter
It was Sir Francis Bacon who phrased the famous quote "knowledge is power". Today let's stop for a moment to dissect what it really means and how a clear understanding of this concept can catapult you to achieving more success in achieving goals.
There is no bliss in ignorance. That is a myth that those who choose to remain in ignorance hang on to in order to rationalize their choice of not becoming informed. Learning as much as you can, doing the research and becoming informed are sure ways of empowerment for climbing the rungs of success.
The fact is, if you want to achieve, you must become knowledgeable about your subject matter. You must become knowledgeable about your market and your audience. You must be prepared to take a course, attend workshops or seminars, learn about the latest research and discoveries in your field and even network with people who can enhance your knowledge.
When you are well informed you are less likely to fall victim to predators of society. In today's society where opportunists are looking to prey on members of society, the more vulnerable you appear and the less informed you are, the easier target you become. With information you are better prepared to recognize such people, make better decisions, and protect your interests.
Development of personal knowledge has become essential to our economic survival and overall success. The input of new information had a dramatic effect on the way we process and perceive the messages we encounter each day of our lives. In today's changing world knowledge allows us the insight to question and properly assess the propaganda delivered to us for more accurate judgment and execution. Being well informed gives you the instinct to respond more swiftly and to be more effective in successfully handling your financial lives.
Never feel like you know enough. The person who feels that way will immediately begin to mentally shrivel. Growth ceases to take place. They become stagnant and fossilized in their thinking and the world passes them by. They will remain in their one-dimensional way of thinking and they will never truly attain the level of success they are capable of.
Don't be afraid to ask questions. An inquisitive and inquiring mind is a powerful mind. In today's world where information is so readily available, take advantage of it to expand your knowledge. Utilize these opportunities to educate yourself. Learn as much as you can and rise to the top of your game.
To Your Success
