REFLECTIONS

Take A Moment to Reflect on 2007

For me the holidays can be a hectic and demanding time. I found myself rushing to get all my errands done, sending holiday greetings, scheduling gatherings with friends and family and at the same time keeping an eye on that to-do list, still hoping to finish it off before the end of the year.

However, in all of this hustle and bustle, I realized how important it is to halt everything and take a moment to reflect on this past year. Today I plan to make myself a pot of tea and sit alone to reflect on:

  • All the blessings of the past year. I plan to make a list of them and identify each one.

  • My accomplishments throughout the year to include that of my familyís.

  • How I was able to help someone to accomplish their goal(s), whatever it may have been.

  • How I have grown personally over the past year. Have I strengthened myself emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically? What areas do I need to keep working on to be the best person I can be?

  • How I have given back to my community, to bring about a change in other peopleís lives.

  • The things I plan to do for the New Year, my goals, resolutions, and my insight and foresight to continue.

As I sit and reflect on my life, I pray that my readers do the same. It is during this time of reflection that you will truly see what the year has brought you. Focus on all the amazing things that you did. It is through reflection that you can gain more momentum and motivation to propel you into the New Year. Donít forget to give thanks for all the wonderful blessings 2007 has brought you, no matter how small.

    I WISH YOU GOOD HEALTH,
    SUCCESS IN YOUR ENDEAVORS,
    A RENEWED SPIRIT,
AND THE CLARITY TO RECOGNIZE IT ALL

    HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2008.
